This is awesome! Thank you to all Flagstaff Firefighters!
From August 4th through the 14th about 80 local firefighters from four local departments participated in an amazing volunteer effort with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help with a local child’s wish. A.J. is an 8 year old boy who has a condition known as spinal atrophy that requires him to use a wheelchair to move around. A.J.’s wish was to have a treehouse built in his yard. The Make-A-Wish Foundation coordinated with The Treehouse Masters, who you may have seen on Animal Planet, as well as local businesses and volunteers to make this dream come true. Part of this project required the building of a ramp more than 100ft. in length for A.J. to access the treehouse. It was an incredible project that we were proud to be a part of. Please tune in to The Treehouse Masters on Animal Planet tonight at 9pm to see the whole story of A.J. and his wish. There are several episodes of the show airing that night so look for the one called “Boxtrolls.” Thank you to the firefighters from Highlands Fire District, Pinewood Fire District, Summit Fire District, and the Flagstaff Fire Department for your amazing dedication and desire to help with this project.
