My last week was spent at the Gemmological Association of Great Britain's head quarters in the financial part of London.
The first day of the class we jumped right in to grading diamonds. In some ways it was harder then I thought, but in others it was easy! My eyes hurt after looking through a 10x loupe all day! And it was a lot more tiring then I thought it was going to be.
We spent all week practicing grading, and we even looked at some raw diamonds; which was really interesting, I love raw diamonds. So cool!
The day of the exam, I was so nervous! Even though I had spent the last 5 days practicing, that day it was like all the info had disappeared! Haha. But then I got to class, set up my desk, and I was fine. I feel very confidant on how I did, and I can't wait for the results! Unfortunately I have to wait 6-8 weeks for them.
As my reward for the taking test, I purchased a ticket to see Charlie & the Chocolate Factory. It was awesome! I loved the little kids! They were all amazing in their roles, and they fit perfectly in them.
My last day was gloomy, a stereotypical London day. I thought it was a perfect way to end the trip, London was sad that I was leaving, haha.
I went to the Florence Nightingale museum and the Harry Potter studio tour. The museum was very interesting, although I wish they had had a little more info on some parts of her life... Oh well, it was worth it to see; especially since my grandmother was a nurse, and a couple of my good friends are as well.
The Harry Potter studio tour was AMAZING!! I am such a big Harry Potter fan, that it was surreal to see all the props, sets, and costumes of the movies. I loved seeing all of it!
Bye for now!!
